Changing healthcare with open source wearables – Presented by Wouter Heijnen, Totem Open Health at The Internet of People Event which will take place on December 15, 2016, Designhuis, Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
In our presentation we introduce you to a new way of thinking about ownership, research, data gathering and product development and we show the impact of funding from organisation like SIDN for a project like Totem. Around the world, economies are challenged to maintain an affordable and sustainable healthcare system. At Totem we view healthcare as a social system. And to make this system work and to keep it affordable, healthcare tools must also be developed in a social system. We believe that healthcare can be changed by the adoption of open source technology, in both software and hardware.
